Enrichment

Enrichment at West Grove

At West Grove, we believe that learning goes beyond the classroom. That’s why we provide our children with opportunities to explore and experience the world around them. Whether it’s through educational visits or outdoor activities, we believe that these experiences are essential for their personal development and learning.

We offer a wide range of activities that enrich each child’s learning journey. These experiences are designed to help them make connections between what they learn in the classroom and what they see and do in the real world. By going beyond the traditional boundaries of learning, our children gain a deeper understanding and make lasting memories.

We believe that these experiences are important for all children, regardless of their age, ability, or background. Our goal is to create a learning environment where every child can benefit from hands-on, experiential learning. By providing these opportunities, we aim to help them make sense of the world around them. These experiences allow them to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom to real-life situations and vice versa.

Educational Visits

Our educational visits allow children to enjoy activities and places that they may not otherwise have the chance to experience. Our visits are carefully mapped out to provide a range of experiences across each child’s time with us. The visits are also designed to complement the curriculum experiences in the classroom and provide opportunities to consolidate learning.

We provide a manageable way for you to contribute to the cost of these visits by combining the costs and offering all visits for the year for a total contribution of £30.00 (not including our residential visit to PGL for Year 6). Wherever possible we use public transport and visit free experiences available across London.

Parents can pay the £30.00 educational visit contribution through their MagicBooking accounts. This amount can be paid in installments throughout the year to reduce the financial burden. We hope you find this arrangement helpful and if you have any questions please do contact the school office.

30 Experiences

At West Grove, we believe in providing every child with a rich learning journey. That’s why every child receives a special passport titled:

’30 Things Every Child will Experience at West Grove’

This passport is filled with exciting experiences that we want every child to have the opportunity to enjoy. From sleeping in a tent to flying a kite, rolling down a hill, building a den, and so much more, these experiences extend learning beyond the classroom.

As children encounter each one throughout their years at our school, they can tick them off in their passport, creating a sense of accomplishment and adventure. These experiences are designed to spark curiosity and bring joy!

At West Grove, we are committed to creating memorable moments and a lifelong love for learning in every child.
