School meals

HCL is the school lunch provider at West Grove and we are really pleased with the excellent menu choices they provide. School meals are packed with great and tasty ingredients to help children really enjoy lunchtimes.

Eating the right balance of healthy food helps children to learn and making the right decision about what your child eats at school is so important. You select each day’s school meal the night before with your child, giving them the chance to try new foods and for you to monitor the range of meals they are eating.

Any allergens and dietary requirements can be catered to following a meeting with the team at HCL. Please contact the school office if you have medical needs to discuss.

Meals must be chosen the night before on SchoolGrid where you can view choices with your child and make your selection. If the meal is not ordered in advance your child’s choices may be limited on the day.

Free school meals

All children from Reception to Year 6 are now automatically entitled to enjoy FREE school meals, even if parents don’t receive one of the qualifying benefits or tax credits. It is important that families who qualify for the Pupil Premium benefit still apply as this money helps the school to support your child.
