School uniform

West Grove uniform

At West Grove we believe that wearing a uniform provides children with a sense of belonging and reflects the pride they share in their school community. It’s very important that children come to school wearing the correct uniform every day and we ask families to support us with this expectation.

We understand children’s clothing can be costly so we have carefully considered the affordability of our uniform and keep branded uniform to a minimum, with only the jumper or cardigan requiring the school logo.

All our uniform can be purchased from Smiths Schoolwear, who also offer an excellent pre-loved scheme to make uniform more affordable. They have a range of items with our school logo along with unbranded items. Unbranded items can easily be bought from your chosen retailer instead.

Any uniform you no longer need can be donated to our school recycling scheme. The clothing bin can be found next to the school office.

Please ensure all items are labelled clearly with your child’s name (including bags, shoes, hats, scarves etc). We highly recommend using the plastic tags that do not fall off or wash out. See link on the sidebar for the Snappy Tags website.

Early Years

As early years children spend much of the day involved in physical, messy and outdoor play our uniform expectations are adjusted appropriately. All clothes and shoes in early years should be easy for the children to change themselves so no small buttons, lace-up shoes or tricky coat fastenings. Everything MUST be labelled.

Nursery
