Year group pages

We want our families to have all the information they need to best support their child. Our year group pages provide you with useful details on your child’s year group, their teaching team, their curriculum and more.

Nursery

Our nursery provides the children with a rich and exciting curriculum based around interests and experiences which are relevant to the children.

Reception

In reception we promote learning through structured activities, alongside opportunities to explore and discover through child initiated activities.

Year 1

Our year 1 curriculum focuses on learning to read through phonics whilst promoting creativity and curiosity across the curriculum.

Year 2

Year 2 is an exciting year for the children as they become more fluent readers and build their confidence across the curriculum.

Year 3

The first year of key stage 2 and a chance for children in year 3 to develop their independent learning skills and become fluent readers.

Year 4

Year 4 children enjoy a rich curriculum alongside the opportunity to learn swimming and be taught whole class recorder.

Year 5

Nearly the top of the school, year 5 are confident and independent learners. They read more widely and this shines through in their detailed writing. It’s also the year they get to enjoy the fantastic overnight camping trip.

Year 6

In their last year of primary school year 6 work very hard to achieve their very best in end of key stage assessments (SATs). They are getting ready for secondary school and look forward to their residential trip to PGL.
